One of a collection of live hydrophones made available at Pacific Wild. Operated in collaboration with the Heiltsuk Integrated Resource Management Department. Others form part of the Central Coast Hydrophone Network. Amidst long periods of quiet, the hydrophones periodically capture sounds of cetaceans including Killer Whales, Humpback Whales, White-Sided Dolphins; and terrestrial events such as earthquakes.
