SOUNDCAMP / REVEIL

The 11th edition of the Reveil broadcast took place on Dawn Chorus Day, over the first weekend in May 2024. It was mixed from the Stave Hill soundcamp in Rotherhithe, London (details) by the Soundcamp Cooperative, and in Mooste, Estonia by Mort Drew, Valparaíso, Chile by Fernando Godoy, Sunshine Coast, Australia by Leah Barclay, and Chania Crete by Maria Papadomanolaki. Reveil included 178 streams from locations around the earth. The Stave Hill gathering was one of 26 soundcamps happening at the same time in different places.

Soundcamp in 2024 was a project of the Soundcamp Cooperative with Stave Hill Ecological Park (TCV) and the Acoustic Commons network: Full Of Noises (Cumbria UK) · Locus Sonus (Aix FR) · Radio CONA (Ljubljana SI) · HMU (Crete GR) · Cyberforest (Tokyo JP).
As each year, streams were part of the live soundmap project operated by Locus Sonus Vitae at ESAAIX, Aix-en-Provence. They also came from independent projects and the environmental sound community at radio.earth.
The Reveil main mix was hosted by Wave Farm in Acra, Upper Hudson Valley, New York, our US broadcast partner since the first edition. Resonance Extra is our long-term UK broadcast partner. The show is carried each year in whole or in part by a network of participating FM and net radio stations listed here.
