leading back to the SHED, with plants of shade and partial shade. Nettles provide food and egglaying sites for butterflies including the Red admiral, Peacock, Small Tortoiseshell and Comma. Hollow, stinging hairs on the leaves and stems inject histamine and other chemicals on contact. Stinging may be relieved by rubbing with a dockleaf.
